A HUMBLE BEGINNING On 6th December 1986, a new building of the Darul Uloom was formally opened by the Patron, Maulana Abus Sa'ood. This building was built on a five-acre parcel of land (which was donated to the Darul Uloom), situated at Cunupia. The cost of the building was one hundred and sixty seven thousand, seven hundred and thirty three dollars ($167,733.00) which was collected from the Muslims of Trinidad and Tobago. An additional seven acres of land were donated to the Darul Uloom in January 1988. This building is presently being used for classes, office, library and Salaah. An annexed building is being utilized as the lab.In September 1989, the Girls College of the Darul Uloom was opened. Initially it was located in a very small area of a house. After much effort was made and through the help and mercy of Allah a new structure with new buildings was built as the Darul Uloom Girls College in June 1998. Presently we are seeking to build a hostel for the Girls College which is of urgent need. At present there are foreign students from the following countries : Guyana, Barbados, Bahamas, Grenada, Canada, U.S.A., Brazil, Venezuela, Bermuda, Kenya, Jamaica, Haiti, England.
